On Friday, October 25, 2019, the Woodhaven Business Improvement District (BID) attended our fellow Woodhaven Residents' Block Association’s 48th Annual Fundraiser at Roma View in Howard Beach. It was a merry evening of high spirits, good food, dancing, raffling and speeches from influential Queens voices, Senator Joe Addabbo, Assemblyman Mike Miller and Councilmen Erich Ulrich and Rob Holden. Honored this year were Deputy Inspector Courtney Nilan, from the 102nd Precinct, Community Board 9 Chairman Kenichi Wilson, and our very own local business owner, Jack Moy of M.M. Housewares Hardware, all of whom we work very closely with to promote a safe, thriving Jamaica Avenue. The Woodhaven BID firmly believes in continuing the practice of honoring deserving individuals from the community, like the aforementioned.
